Not very safe or usable
I've had one of these this before and it worked fine. Maybe my replacement is just a piece of crap. The blade isn't held tight enough to keep it straight or prevent it from sliding back into the holder, and the part of the lid that slides back and forth to protect you and the blade doesn't stay in place either and place. I have to wiggle and adjust the blade several times during cleaning.
