These are great wine corks but not hard rubber. They're easy to remove, almost to the point where it's too easy. There are grooves on the corks to seal the bottle, but even if they are dented I would never store a bottle on its side with these corks. The corks close the bottle, but I've noticed that if you accidentally click the bottle, even if I close the corks, the cork will come loose. I especially like that they are dishwasher safe and made of high quality materials. No more trying to put the cork back in the bottle when you're done!
