Compared to traditional hinges this is better but I bought it because it was advertised with a soft close feature but it doesn't have it. At best, one could say that it has a stepless speed function, meaning that if you push lightly on the door, it closes gently, but if you push lightly, the door slams shut. didn't match my existing door holes so I had to drill whole new ones and cover up the old ones. Also, the hinge end cap fell off twice before assembly. Once when I sanded the corners so they were rounded I can't blame the hinges for that. Another time with another loop when transporting to the door. I have no idea where that stub went, so it's lost forever.
