Wanted to install this on my 2001 Ford F150 in the driver's side rear pin hole. Found the handle is too long so it rises too far above the hole. After cutting off 1/4" from the bottom and rounding the bottom corners with a file, I found that there was a little looseness in the hole. Since Step-N-Secure doesn't ship gaskets with the Ford model, I did the gasket made from leftover baseboard stock over 3/8" thick. Trimmed 1-5/8" x 4-5/8" stock to fit the full length of the inserted stem on the inside, the facing the center of the truck body. After installing it per the instructions, I found that the handle still wobbled a bit, so I added another 1/4" x 4" bolt that came off the suggested position was 1" down and 5/8" offset to one side. This has greatly improved stability and I am very pleased with this safety feature which allows me to climb the stairs at the tailgate.
