This system is for my iPhone 12 Pro. The standard clip just doesn't provide a secure grip on a variety of surfaces. Second, the pliability of the vehicle's plastic is not taken into account, so much of the rigidity is lost in flexing. The wide yoke and rubberized inserts would help conform to the contours of the plastic mounds and counteract torsional forces. I doubt the seat wedge system is stiffer than the yoke, secondly I'm wary of buying a wedge because of a possibly faulty airbox. And the current ratings do not inspire confidence. I would go with the sun visor mount, but this yoke has its own problems. It has two pressure points that don't offer good adhesion to surfaces and produce significant pressure at two small points that can leave permanent dents in the plastic pad. This clamp is also best equipped with some form of compressible foam or rubber insert to conform to shaped surfaces. I suppose I could change it, but then why am I paying for a premium modular system?
