This is a very easy and fun project. My daughter is 7 and had so much fun making gifts for her friends! There are also nice little tutorials at the beginning of the guide about melting points and such, so we talked about solids, liquids, etc. We added 3-5 drops of essential oil to each mold after pouring and they had a decent scent (before lighting). ) . The candles are about 1/2-1 inch thick per bag of paint depending on the size of the mold. Tips: A shallow pan works better than a saucepan because the metal cup can be inserted and removed. Bring tongs and oven mitts, and extra water to fill up if making multiple candles. The easiest way to remove wax from the mug when it's wet is with a paper towel. Just be careful! Cut the wick just above the stick and remove the stick before wrapping/freezing the saran. Have fun making candles. :)
