Oh my god I can't believe I never thought of trying them in the 2+ years that I've owned my Cricut Maker. Received a varied set and immediately used a light (blue) studio cardboard paper cutting mat (used medium card stock choices and standard blade pressure). There is nothing cheap about these rugs; They look great, work great, feel smooth and perfectly consistent, even the plastic cover feels better than the Cricut brand. It cuts flawlessly on my maker, much better than my cricket sheet when it was brand new. And how much money I could save. It fits perfectly and is pulled into the car. Because it's new and I cut out a lot of small pieces I used a spatula to separate the paper rather than separating the mat from the paper which would require serious folding and I don't think that's a good idea ; I had no problems at all. I haven't tried the other 2 mats but am planning to use the stickier mats for the pearlescent and glitter cardstock just because those are the materials that give me the most trouble staying in place during cutting. The smell people are talking about is identical to inflatable paddling pools and beach balls so it's actually nice and not a problem for me. Overall very happy with the results and I will definitely never pay full price for a well known brand again when they work so great 😍
