They are made from much stronger material than OEM but still not rigid. Note that they are easy to shorten if you don't need the full length (I didn't). I used a small serrated wood saw. You can even install them at full height. If off-road riding shows they are too long (preventing full articulation), you can clip them without removing the springs. However, be careful not to cut the coil springs and do not use a hacksaw. To install, press into the pipe mount with constant pressure and wedge 2x4 against the body part. You'll get in right away.
