Check the wires - they are different but will work if done right.
works fine, but the wiring is different. See my photos for the three correct connection methods. The new runs under the numbers 1,2,3,4,7,8. To connect it properly, repeat the original switch, except toggling the gray and brown wires. Hope that helps. In my case the problem wasn't the switch but the heatsink/slow start. After I connected the new one, it worked beautifully.
