My hand won't fit

It's advertised that you can put your hand in it, but I can't. My hand is medium or small for a 55 year old man. I should have understood that it comes with a cleaning brush. The hole is just under 3" and 1/16" in diameter. I haven't had a chance to use the jug but it seems to be a very good jug except that I want to hand wash it. My guess is that most women's hands will fit and most men's hands will not. I have no experience with borosilicate glass so I looked it up online and it is just as sensitive to temperature changes as regular glass. So don't put ice first or pour hot tea over ice. I think that's probably why there are so many problems with broken jugs. I bet it's safer to place the hot tea first and then the floating ice cream. This must be reported to us by a company representative and stated in the care instructions.
