Review on Enhance Engine Performance with the Airaid 200 543 PowerAid Throttle Spacer by Ken Desens

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I would not recommend Airaid Power Aid TBS for 2015 Silverado

I was not impressed by this product. I can't tell any difference and it was a waste of money. I would like to get advice from other buyers. I have a 2006 Silverado that I bought a Helix Power Tower for. I noticed a difference in throttle response when I put these on. First I put a Gibson exhaust on my truck, then a K&N intake kit, then a Helix power tower, and finally a Hypertech performance programmer. The most noticeable change I noticed with the Helix Power Tower was that the air intake whistled when I gave the truck some throttle. I love this pipe and was hoping it would appear in my 2015 Silverado midnight issue as well. No whistle, no throttle response and fuel economy hasn't improved. I really don't want to return it and pay for return shipping so I leave it in my truck. If nothing else, I think 1/4 inch will allow for more air volume (not much), so that's it. The Airaid's barrel layout is different than the Helix Power Turret, so I think that's the source of the whistling. I would advise you to save your money and not buy it. Invest in an intake, exhaust or power programming kit. This is where performance enhancement comes into play!
