Review on 🔒 National Hardware N262-204 V1320 Lever Latches in Black, 1-3/4" - Durable and Stylish Locking Solution by Will Lockhart

This latch was easy to install and looks great on an old 1" timber storm door. It has a thick ceramic coating over the metal. The locking mechanism is smooth and simple. He is not expected to defend Fort Knox. Given the expectations of each, this lock seems quite reliable (especially compared to my previous shaky trap). Previous reviewers were correct that if you drop the latch on a hard, rough surface, the coating could chip off. I've dropped the bolt from 5ft (oil fingers) onto a hard brick a few times and the coating has chipped, but that's really to be expected from any type of finished piece of metal. The small gap was minimal, not even visible in the attached photos (needs to be touched up with a black marker). The best solution is to just put some old rags under the door while you work. careful to make sure the latch doesn't hit the bricks if you slip.
