Review on 🖨️ Gizmo Dorks Polycarbonate Filament: High-Quality Additive Manufacturing Products for 3D Printing Supplies by Hesham Peltier

I got this because I needed to print a part that needed to be very heat resistant. The problem with most PC filaments is that they are cut from PET or ABS to lower the extrusion temperature and make printing easier. That's not it. This stuff is most likely pure PC. I was hesitant at first due to a lot of negative feedback, but it looks like most of this is coming from people who don't know how to print with high-temperature resistant plastic, or expected it to feel like a friendlier, stripped-down PC. I dried it. I put it on my heated bed at 130C for a few hours and the thread still felt tight. The coil itself also appears to be polycarbonate as it doesn't melt or warp at all after direct contact with such a high temperature. Very happy with it. It arrived wet but that wasn't a problem for me as it was easy enough to dry. I print it on a glass plate with ABS/Acetone at 110°C and it sticks pretty well, I had no problems with warping after printing a warpage test. I should add that I have an actively heated case where I have this filament set to 70C and unless you have at least a passively heated case this may not work for you as the PC will usually warp a bit. EDIT: The ABS slurry got annoying pretty quickly. I have a sample bottle of Vision Miner Nano Polymer Adhesive and this stuff works much better than a press, I just had to raise the bed temp to 130C. It is much easier to apply than ABS slurry.
