This is an excellent example of how to turn a product idea into a cheaper and more effective product. We bought this to replace the Swiffer that died on our property. I looked around and thought that the cost of the swiffer and consumables would cost you extra for a lifetime. You have to buy pads, cleaning solution and batteries which after a few months far exceed the cost of the actual Swiffer and you have to do this for the life of the Swiffer. I came across this item and it is microfiber. Pads (three pieces) that make it easy to change and wash the old ones. The cleaning solution chamber is designed to be used with your own solution and can be refilled. The height of the mop is great and it twists and turns corners like a champ. Batteries are not required! Yes, I said no batteries. Who knew you could build a simple pump that didn't require battery power?! All in all, this item exceeded my expectations. The final test will be durability. How long does a hand pump run before it fails? How long does the rest of the mop last over time? I won't be able to answer these questions until later, so I'll come back later to update the product's shelf life. Also, I highly recommend this product and will save a lot of time and money in the future.
