Broke after 2 months.

Can the manufacturer explain why these zip ties broke after 2 months of use while holding a very light leather saddlebag on a luggage rack? There were no sharp edges on the frame. In fact, these straps broke in the middle and not near the clasp you inserted the end into. They have also not been exposed to extreme heat or cold (60 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit). I have three bags of these and only used them a day or two before. Therefore breaking was not a problem.
