Magnetic 60 minute kitchen timer

I bought two of these timers for a friend who works as a chef in a bar/restaurant. She needed something magnetic, LOUD, and something she could turn off. Well, it just makes a ticking sound, which you can hear if you hold it to your ear in a busy kitchen as you grill, roast and people come in and out. The magnet only worked on dry metal surfaces. We want to find old egg timers. We will continue our search and bring her back. The product was beautifully made; it just didn't satisfy their need for loudness.
