As another reviewer pointed out, these are not compostable bags. However, I have not been able to find any larger biodegradable bags. At least they WILL eventually be dismantled. It's still way better than plastic bags that take generations to decompose. Shame shame shame on the warehouse that put a large paper sticker on the crate RIGHT ABOVE the cutout for bag delivery from the crate (see image). But when I finally knocked out the slit, it was completely useless for distribution because the reel of the bag didn't turn inwards when you pulled the line through this slit. I just take out the roll (there are two rolls in the box) and put it where the pouches are kept in my pantry. I enjoy using this product more than the plastic bags available at my local stores. I hope for a better product in the future.
