If you put a load in the back of the car it sags. Worse still, the wheel alignment is also changing. I've spent most of my adult life working or selling auto repairs. You level the car so that it is at the same height as you pick it up. Now you'll add a weight that will change the height and therefore the orientation. You don't have to take my word for it. Ask your mechanic. With this pneumatic kit, you can raise the car to the right height, even if the load changes every day. These airbags are better than air shock absorbers. Air shocks transfer lift to the lower shock mount (about a 5/8 bolt). These airbags transfer the load to the axle hoses. Much stronger and holds much more weight than a firing pin. These airbags are more expensive than airbags, but they are safer. After you have set your ride height, choose a spot on the bumper or where you feel most comfortable. Use a tape measure to find out the height. Then add or bleed air as needed for the cargo you are transporting. For me I just took an old pencil and cut it to length to fit my reference point on the car.
