I had this floating log for about a month and a half and my betta loved it! He fell in love with her instantly and loved swimming and hanging out in her. Yesterday I noticed the filter outlet was pushing it down so I moved it back to the center of the tank and it started sinking! I have no idea how or why considering it's a solid piece. I took it out and carefully put it back in the tank and it sank back to the bottom. I'm telling you - this is contrary to physics! The problem is that I noticed a bunch of paint had chipped off and I had to vacuum it up. To make matters worse, part of his tail is missing! Luckily it's fine and I don't know exactly what caused it, but the log was rougher than I would like in a faucet tank and the fin was not damaged before the log caught and sank. I am so heartbroken for my little baby! I thought I was giving him a fun and safe home and I feel so guilty for giving him something that hurt him! I know he will be fine, but I still feel my mother's guilt. :( On top of that, it was his FAVORITE accessory so I hate that I took it away from him. :( I left two stars because he really loved that log and liked it, but given the fact that this thing started to lose color chipped and damaged my chicken, can't in good conscience recommend this product. :(
