Fish Not Safe for Jewelry

I read some reviews and decided to buy and try it myself. Since some people have said it can peel, I put it in a sealed plastic bag with purified water (the chemicals were removed from the faucet with Prime Seachem). I left it there for two months instead of putting it in an aquarium. I tested it today and the smell was overwhelming. It gave off chemicals very similar to plastic and had a slippery smear on it. Needless to say, I dumped him. So please save your money and your fish will not buy…

Large feeding hole good for decoration

I washed it with warm water and almost immediately after I put it in my aquarium the substance leached out (similar to milk) for a while. The log still smelled strongly of paint and there was an oily residue on the surface near the waterline. I ended up using vinegar which got rid of the smell and oily stuff. I saw no evidence of white matter. Maybe I didn't wash it long enough. My rooster only uses it when feeding and nothing else. I also use this magazine to add new water when changing the…

My beta loves his magazine MORE THAN ME!

I followed the directions and flushed the magazine before placing it (carefully) in my beta tank. Let's just say it took Gimignano about 30 minutes to find his new favorite spot! NOW he won't go! He's as excited as a beetle on a carpet. only he is a fish in a log. Good product. but now I'm afraid I'll only see my fish through the holes in the tree trunk (although I can still indulge my voyeuristic tendencies, admittedly), but I'll still fondly think back to the time when it was just my fish in…

Good product while it lasted.

This update is after about a month of use in a Betta aquarium. I originally gave 5 stars but when I cleaned the log under running water I noticed brown bits coming loose in the sink. this evening. I looked into the trunk of the tree and found that the once-smooth interior was chipped and jagged. This is not safe for the betta's fragile fins and body. I am disappointed as I have been very happy with this product and the space it has given Betta over the last month. I hope that the product can be

Stinky that made my fish sick

My fish HATE this thing. I cleaned it before putting it in the aquarium, but it smelled so strongly of chemicals that it only got worse over the next two days. My cock started to get sick and was so stressed that it hid in the farthest corner and pinched its fins. The smell was terrible! After 3 days his health and the smell of that "log" only got worse, I took him out of the aquarium and let the water "air out". The next day, without the log in the water, the smell went away and he returned to

So far, so good. on Aquarium Décor

I've been wearing this in my aquarium for a few days and the product itself is great. the size is good. top hole is good. feels like a strong product. I have a 10 gallon tank and wanted this for my betta. I have some bubble walls and a working filter and thought this would be a good way to feed Lemon without the current washing away his food. The problem was that the current was washing away the log and/or spinning it in circles. Also, the tree trunk sticks out maybe half an inch above the…

Bad for my betta and aquarium although he liked it

I had this floating log for about a month and a half and my betta loved it! He fell in love with her instantly and loved swimming and hanging out in her. Yesterday I noticed the filter outlet was pushing it down so I moved it back to the center of the tank and it started sinking! I have no idea how or why considering it's a solid piece. I took it out and carefully put it back in the tank and it sank back to the bottom. I'm telling you - this is contrary to physics! The problem is that I noticed
