Maybe not the best customer experience. If you're comfortable with this type of connection, it's fine. Just make sure the rubber line is FULLY seated on the part (you can look at the connector side). Then make sure the connector is FULLY installed on the filter. He should place TWO O-RINGS, then click on the lock and you're done. Much better than buying the whole assembly from Ford.
