One of the internal fan fins on the back of the generator rubbed against the case and had thermal burns, probably due to bench testing of the unit. Whoever tested it couldn't help but notice the noise, they didn't care and they shipped or packaged it anyway. I visited friends with elevators and removed the old generator. Too bad I didn't test it before. I was able to access the blade with a screwdriver and bend it so it doesn't rub against the case. I installed it and it seems to work, but I'm worried about a crash due to the quality control I've seen so far. Attention buyers, check first. UPDATE: 11/13/2017, 9 months after purchase does not work. Faulty internal voltage regulator. Must be a zero star rating.
