I should have paid more and bought one locally. Now I have to replace it again and pay the mechanic a second time. You get what you pay for. Keep in mind. If you buy this junk, you're doing the work twice.

The alternator looked great when it arrived. Unfortunately, this does not work with Californian models. I didn't realize it until we installed it. My fault for not reading the fine print. I would recommend them if you are not in California.

Incorrect shape and position of the electrical connections. The power wire and control wire are in opposite positions, and the control connector is not properly shaped for the control wire connector. In addition, the plastic cover of the heat shield does not fit on it. The correct alternator for my car is the DB Electrical AFD0132, about $10 more I believe.

When you need to replace your alternator (usually because the voltage regulator is starting to fail) you should consider purchasing this NEW unit rather than a remanufactured alternator. The quality far exceeded my expectations and the power is the same at all RPMs. The price is INCREDIBLE compared to some remanufactured units, especially when you shop at your local auto shop where the core charge is almost half the cost of this alternator! We are very satisfied!

One of the internal fan fins on the back of the generator rubbed against the case and had thermal burns, probably due to bench testing of the unit.
