So I bought this main unit for my 2016 SR5 Tacoma. I accidentally watched a YouTube video of someone at Tacoma performing the same setup, which seemed fairly straightforward with its plug-and-play features that also claimed to keep everything functional for the most part. Unfortunately I wasn't aware that due to my original square dash size the size is smaller as I don't have a factory JBL radio. I had to properly modify my bezel to make it fit. It took me about an hour and a half to remove the silver ring around the bezel, measure the camouflage, use a grinder and straight edges with sandpaper, and finish it to perfection. The included brackets only fit with 3 screws, no drilling. It looks like the radio was sticking out a lot before the bezel was fitted, but if you take the time to flush it properly it looks perfect. I measured from the edge of the radio screen, not the actual black, thicker outer plastic part of the case which is 9 and 1/4 on my particular radio. 9 inch screen. The wiring was basically plug and play for my car too. 2 connectors left unconnected which were for xm and attn radios. I don't know if Apple Carplay works as I'm an Android user, but screen mirroring works with Easy Connect app on Android. The touch screen for the app works so you can control your phone right from the device. You need to know how to use your phone, turn on bluetooth, check, run USB debugging, plug the USB into the standard port under the radio and if connected correctly which USB adapter will connect to the radio, go to App . simple connect android press usb and follow the instructions. Sometimes slows down, but that's normal compared to the Stock deck. Bluetooth works very well Wi-Fi works great for me. All the steering wheel buttons work and as mentioned in another review the track buttons get swapped if you change lanes while using bluetooth but I don't care. The rear camera quality isn't as good as the stock unit and my only opinion is that maybe the camera should be upgraded as the screen quality on the stock head unit isn't as good as the new unit? The added danger zone lines and backup lines when turning the wheel are nice and can also be disabled in the car's settings. When I replaced my door speakers and needed a little more, this head unit provided the extra power I was missing. The built in equalizer app is really nice and I can control my highs and lows. In general I like it very much. Maybe better? Yes. Are you getting the best bang for your buck? Yes. Is it much better than stocks? Absolutely goodbye Etune
