I've used it on a few BIG projects so far. But getting under a ski boat and sanding it down for paint is MUCH nicer than not tripping over a long extension cord. The battery life fully meets my requirements. But I have a stack of Dewalt batteries but I found the 4Ah battery worked well, the tool compensates for the weight of the battery. Knowing variable control is REALLY nice to have. Sometimes when sanding, you don't need or NEED a full power sander. So that's also a nice plus from my old cordless grinder. I'm not going to sell my Dewalt Corded Grinder just yet, but I can't see when I'll be using it in the future. One interesting thing is that it has a different hole pattern than my Dewat 5 inch corded random orbit sander. Only 2 holes fit my current dust removal soles. True to size but the holes just don't match up.. Otherwise I'd classify this thing as a 5 start tool.
