Review on 🎯 Enhanced Accuracy for Printing Polycarbonate Filament by Logan Collier

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very complicated. Not grindable.

I don't often write reviews but this stuff is underrated and deserves a few minutes. I don't know what others are complaining about. The benefits of using it over a $100 spool of filament become apparent after the first print. Whatever the mix is, they nailed it and I love polycarbonate. I've been printing mostly overpriced PETG for 7 years and now mostly PC blends. I love this mix. The material is hard as rock, although the prints aren't as glossy as most PC blends (more like a dull gloss) but, man, this material is rock hard and hard to screw up, it doesn't compress too much, it doesn't stretch like the others. PC blends are effective at printing and print well in layers down to 0.1mm with a standard 0.40 nozzle. If you can print petg then you will have no problem with this material. Just keep your bed temperature the same or it will pop out even with a 5 degree change. If a piece breaks you can't even see the layers and it won't bend. to break it and it is dark black in color. Unlike other PC blends, there's not really a lot of flex. It's really solid and tight like I said. It's a bit harder to get a good first layer than Petg on both large and narrow prints like regular polycarbonate blend does, and absorbs heat just above the Petg filament temperature as advertised. it is very hygroscopic. It printed fine out of the bag but needed to dry by the third day when the PETG was going to last several months in the same environment before needing to dry. I get the best hot bed adhesion above 90° C and a hot end temperature of 253° C. And even then I have to go to the extreme and, depending on the version, break through the elm wood glue. And I have no size. In any case. This material is a find at a very good price. I hope they resell it, so buy something.

Pros
  • 3D printing filament
Cons
  • Very expensive
