Knipex - excellent pliers
I started carrying them instead of a multi tool because I used pliers a lot. This is much better than any multi-function pliers. There's a small cutout for grabbing small round objects that works great. Also, one side is slightly rounded to fit flat objects of different thicknesses. Finally, the blades are sharp and feel solid. I have actually used all of these functions. They saved me when I needed a makeshift roadside fix for a leaking coolant hose. I find that sometimes I need a bigger hole, but that just means I have to grab some Knipex cobras to go with them.
