Review on πŸ”§ Neiko 02130A Heavy Duty 16-Inch Snap Ring Plier Set, 2-Piece, External & Internal Pliers, Straight & Angled Tips by Brian Samuel

Great, but a rusty circlip will bend even this monstrous tool

These pliers are beasts. Used them to easily remove a 7th generation Honda Accord wheel bearing snap ring (after following the advice below). A tip: Even with these behemoths, if your locking ring is rusted/corroded, the handles of these pliers will bend. Be sure to use a wire brush and some rust to loosen the locking ring first. You want the snap ring to rotate easily in the groove it is in before attempting to use these pliers to remove it. If after brushing it's stuck and seeping into the oil, you can try loosening and turning the ring with a small screwdriver and a hammer. Then use these pliers and the locking ring will come out like butter.

Pros
  • Circlip pliers
Cons
  • are unreliable
