I bought three Guardline motion detectors and two receiver units. My goal was to give myself a traffic alert from the back and side of my house and from inside, on my bedroom door. Once the devices were set up, I found that their sensitivity range was quite limited; two appear to pick up motion at a maximum distance of twenty feet (20 ft), and one closer to sixteen to eighteen feet (16 ft 18 ft). This means that the two outer blocks only cover part of the area I was hoping for. for security reasons, based on a claimed detection range of forty feet (40 ft). elevated. I moved the backyard sensor from about two to eight feet in the air, which gave me a maximum sensitivity range of 20 feet, to about four feet off the ground, which gave me the full sensitivity range! Much better and the device now covers all my rear sliders. So I'm increasing my star rating to five.
