started a fire at first power on

Inateck PCI-E to USB 3.1 PCI Express Card. it's easy to install they said. it'll be real fast they said. the engineers obviously failed to consider the speeds of USB C when they designed this thing. within 10 seconds or so this thing over heated and caught fire. it was a good run, but $20 bucks goes farther @ da club - that's where my spend will be next time.first power up tried with the included adapter cable. it started a fire and melted off the insulation. Nothing appeared damaged on the circuit board so I tried it with my evga adapter that came with my power supply. Power supply then went into protection mode and wouldn't boot. they've got a real issue going on here with a nasty failure mode - even if yours works for a while this shows there aren't adequate mitigation in place to prevent fire if the adapter cable is used. I wouldn't gamble with this product.sent the support chat a message. it's been 24+ hrs and no reply.
