Review on Acer CB272 Bmiprx FreeSync Technology 75Hz Monitor with Built-In Speakers by Troy Oumer

If sound is important to your monitor, DO NOT buy it

I wanted to leave a comment because I read so many comments while purchasing the monitor and hopefully it will help others. I chose this monitor because of the size and it fits my budget. I needed a second monitor for work at home and I use it with a Lenovo ThinkPad (this laptop has a detachable keyboard and no output other than a DisplayPort output). I'm using an HDMI adapter with a female Displayport to connect this Acer monitor as a second monitor. The first one didn't work so I sent it back to have it replaced. I read about it in many reviews but was hoping it was just a bad batch and I think I got one from that batch. The replacement is powered on (there are buttons on the right side of the back of the monitor when the monitor is facing you, and the top one is the power button, so press that button after connecting). I like the size of the monitor but the sound is very low. The laptop audio is much louder than the monitor audio, but the laptop audio is not playing when a second monitor is connected. I bought several Bluetooth speakers and they give me sound when I need it. Sometimes the information on the screen is enlarged and restored to its original size. This happens when I check my email. It wouldn't put me off buying a monitor, but it's noticeable but quick when it happens. The size is great for me because I need to display spreadsheets with lots of columns and dates, so this monitor is great for that reason. If you need sound, be prepared to buy external speakers.
