What can I say!: Power Tool Parts & Accessories

After years of blunting bits and running to the hardware store to replace them, I had to try this piece of equipment. Eight months ago I screwed deck boards to the frame of the trailer (to cover the front and sides). The solid steel frame ate six 5/16" drill bits for a total of 23 holes drilled. That was the last step for me. I have owned this item for over 7 months now and it has saved me a fortune on drill bits. I've spent a lot of time this winter (Michigan winter this year) sharpening all of my bits (about 400) - wood and metal. I only have about 20 bits in my third wheel (about $20 to replace). .Some thoughts.1.Yes, there is a learning curve.I read the instructions and then reread them. The first few bits I sharpened came with the manual opened up.2.Mine came from a DVD, for which I watched it at least 3 times. 3. Yes, in the first few months I messed up about a dozen bits and had a few that didn't sharpen well. 4. The more you use this sharpener and hone your technique, the better the job, and I got pretty good at this pretty quick and good at this thing Practice makes perfect (well, almost). was thrown BUT I have successfully sharpened bits that were broken and/or should have been thrown away.
