Review on ECCPP 2011 2013 Engine 3887615 Timing by Luckie Davidson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's difficult to install, that's how Volvo cars are made, and it's difficult to work with.

It is very important to check the timing belt on a high mileage vehicle. The belts should be changed at approximately 60,000 mile intervals. If in doubt, change the belt. A broken belt causes severe engine damage on most engines. The price is very low compared to running the engine. On the S40 (Mein Auto), the end of the engine timing belt is directly opposite the engine compartment. Hard to access. Decide for yourself whether you can do the job. Unfortunately, the tensioner in this kit is plastic. Maybe I should have reused the old steel tensioner.

Pros
  • One year test
Cons
  • Minor problems
