Review on Nycetek Instant Thermometer Waterproof Cooking by Christine Jensen

I've spent hours looking for a fast, accurate and most importantly waterproof instant thermometer for me. It was advertised as such. However, after I washed it with tap water the first time, it was flooded. See image. Extremely disappointing. To update. When I bought this device there was a red version of the same design, as well as red and black devices with a slightly different design. All four combined had 247 great reviews. Two days after I posted my negative review, the black box I bought was separated from the kit and now it turns out it only has 9 reviews which are not so positive. I feel cheated. The most interesting thing is that the red version of the same device is still bundled with the rest, giving the buyer the impression that they somehow have 247 positive reviews. Also, there is no warranty information or a way to contact the manufacturer.
