The fit was good and the unit seemed to do the job well - maybe 95% as good as the original. However, when I was blending a smoothie this morning, the blender stopped working and I thought the motor had died. But it turns out that when unscrewing the cross blade, the seal broke and wrapped itself around the bottom of the cross blade, causing the blender to stop. I have a feeling we have a manufacturing issue with the gasket. This replacement required me to stretch a lot to keep the unit from leaking and perhaps this caused it to fail prematurely? But that shouldn't happen yet. If they don't send me a replacement seal or the whole unit, the recall will stand. If the seller endorses their product, I can review it again.
