I've been a die-hard DLink fan for over 15 years. I've had over 1/2 dozen of their routers. I'm not a typical home user. I use features like Dynamic DNS, Quick VPN, and custom configurations for my home network. I upgraded from a DIR-880L which was a solid router but needed better encryption for my wireless network, which worked pretty well, but after spending a few hours with tech support I was able to get the VPN working don't get it to work. Also, the router does not recognize my NAS. These two points were crucial for me. You must give credit to the router. I've noticed an improvement in speed and I like having only one SSID. If all you're looking for is internet and great wireless service, I think this is a pretty good router.
