Review on πŸ’‘ Efficient Electrolux 131437500 Frigidaire Timer for Optimal Performance by Denise White

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Maybe paying big bucks for a new one is better than paying half the price for a refurbished one?

Call me cheap you know what but my 20+ year old "laundry center" stacked Kenmore is still rushing after a gear change, dryer bearing and felt lining operation and whatnot. My problem is that I was tempted by the half price refurbished timers available on eBay. I bought from what appeared to be a reputable repair company and once installed they worked reasonably well. But in the last few years I have changed the timer, I think FOUR TIMES in 2012, 2014, 2016 and now again a year later! After spending about $230 on refurbished timers for over five years, I gave up and this time bought this new unit. I'm not sure if the sand and rocks my kids leave in their pockets aren't the cause of early riser deaths (you won't believe how much sand I throw away because the control panel area kind of falls off). . from the dryer drum). Prime's free shipping was also a factor as I needed to get it up and running FAST. In any case, the timer corresponds to the description. The two front screw holes are threaded so you know it's never been installed before. I recommend that you cut these threads by tightening the screws BEFORE you set the timer so you don't lose them down the rabbit hole if they don't bite at first.

Pros
  • Thermometers and Timers
Cons
  • Weak Set
