We joined the ranks of Axolotl owners and became obsessed with setting up a tank and starting a cycle. Axolotls need pelts, so I did a lot of searching for this. These things get very expensive very quickly. When I saw how big and affordable this hideaway was, I wanted to try it. It's a huge hide with plenty of places to sit (or feed if your animals like it). I've checked the pump and it's working fine (not sure we'll be using it as we already have multiple pumps and airstones). My only concern is that there are a few spots that are a bit rough. I know axolotls can easily damage their skin, so I need to keep a close eye on that. But I think that this will not be a problem for most animals.
