Review on OTC 7786 Rear Main Installer by Troy Boren

I ordered this item to replace the rear main seal on my son's 4.6 liter Ford Mustang engine. It is well made and does the job EXCEPT the supplied bolts are not long enough to grip the flywheel bolt holes to attach the gasket. This is an unusual thread and quite difficult to find so I lined everything up correctly and then used a rubber mallet to GENTLETY tap the gasket into place with a tool (apparently the depth of the gasket is critical so this tool is essential to the job) . . Seemed to work fine. The Ford service manual mentions an "adapter set" that looks like a pair of longer bolts used on this engine with this tool. I would recommend this gasket adjustment tool if you are aware of a bolt problem.
