RCA converters: so easy to connect, program and use!

From 2009 to September 2015 I had a MAGNAVOX TB110MW9A D/A converter on my main television, type 27" CRT. The remote control of this failsafe unit recently stopped working and instead of buying a refurbished remote control which I Like the original for its large buttons and simplified options, I instead opted for a block converter with an important feature that MAG didn't offer: the ability to control it without a remote control. My choice fell on RCA DTA.-800B1.The photo stood out the product page shows two essential functions, ON and OFF and CHANNEL UP or DOWN, all you really need Once the converter is set up and programmed. In less than five minutes, I was able to connect it to my indoor amplified butterfly antenna, as well as my TV's built-in signal booster and cable input. Scanning channels was easy, and most importantly, deleting stations and sub-frequencies that didn't interest me was a breeze. By the way, with just one fly and one amplifier I can pick up 56 different signals! I did all of this without having to read the manual. RCA's on-screen prompts for adding or deleting stations are much better than MAGNAVOX's. The only thing missing, and the main reason for my 4 star rating instead of 5, is the FLASHBACK button on the remote that allows you to jog. between two stations. This means, that you have to press the channels you want each time or use the UP and DOWN buttons to scroll through all of them. Finally, I noticed that the converter box sometimes loses the sound for all channels when switching the signal on and off. This means that power cycling requires a quick reboot to get the sound working again. So far this is a minor complaint.
