Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Micha Kamierczak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

Excellent tires for the "northern" harsh winters (as the name implies - Arctic after all). It is operated on a front-wheel drive Skoda Octavia A7 with a stabilization system. Never gave a reason to strain, except when deliberately exceeding the speed of entry into the turn. It will get out of the snowdrift, it will not let you down on the ice. I would certainly recommend this rubber, however, there is one important BUT: if the main route of your movement by car does not go beyond well-cleaned and salty roads, or if you are lucky to live in a region where there is almost no snow in winter, then you should look at a quieter and comfortable tires, most likely non-studded. If you like to go out of town in winter, or snowplows in your city can only be found in the vicinity of the mayor's house, then feel free to take it - the noise easily compensates for the safety that rubber provides.

Pros
  • 1. Snow traction is excellent, the "evil" tread pattern affects 2. Driving into snow slush at speed goes unnoticed 3. Braking forces you to look in your rearview mirror and make sure no one is flying any matadors or cordiants into your stern. 4. Over the time since installation (October 2022) and mileage (~ 6000 km, mostly on brushed asphalt), not a single spike has flown out 5. Reasonable price, a set of 4 wheels 205/55 R16 cost 19 thousand 6. Economical, fuel consumption has not increased much
Cons
  • Arise from the characteristics of rubber: 1. Increased noise on well-salted or cleaned tracks 2. There is vibration, due to the same "evil" tread
