I bought this set as an alternative to the Microsoft Natural 4000 keyboard. The keyboard has almost all the advantages of the 4000 that are important to me, while without the disadvantages that are significant for me - bulkiness and loud long-stroke keys. A separate numpad deserves a separate plus - it can be rearranged to the other side (I'm left-handed) or even removed when not needed, so as not to interfere. The mouse is very comfortable, I, a left-hander, switched from my left hand to my right hand without any problems. Now about the disadvantages: the transceiver only works with the set of devices that were originally registered in it and it is impossible to register additional devices in it, as in Unifying transceivers from Logitech. If two transceivers from different Microsoft devices are installed in one computer, they seem to conflict with each other in radio frequencies and, as a result, periodically slow down. There is no option to disable the keyboard. To wipe the keys, you have to turn off the computer or pull out the batteries. The mouse from the kit is very voracious, it eats up two AA batteries in 2-3 months. There are still batteries in the keyboard that came with the kit, in the mouse Iβm changing it for the third or fourth time. Quite often, either because of the radio channel, or because of something else, the first typed character does not reach the computer. After a couple of months, problems related to the quality of workmanship and materials began to surface: The rubber band has started to peel off. At the same time, the gum is very tricky - in the unstuck state it is longer than the seat and just pushing it back is not a trivial task - the "soft" parts began to noticeably wipe off - the palm pad on the keyboard and the side pads on the mouse. On the mouse, it generally began to fall off in pieces, I just had to remove it - recently, that is, after about four months of operation, the edges of the palm rest cover began to crawl out. I think that this is unacceptable for devices far from the lowest price segment. In general, I am satisfied with the set, if it were not for the problems described above, I would be completely satisfied.
