I'll admit I was a bit skeptical about this "touch" opener, but I couldn't be happier! Works like clockwork. just press the button, open the door where you want it, and let go. he stays in place. To release, simply push the door outwards and it closes. exactly as described. If your door has two closers, I recommend using them from the top instead of the bottom. I tended to press the button too hard when it was down, which resulted in the end cap unscrewing a couple of times. never mind I just put it back in and everything was fine. But after the climb everything was fine. Installation couldn't be easier. it fits perfectly into existing mounts. I simply removed two pins from the old one, removed it, put in the new one and put the pins back in. This took less than a minute. After a few small twists of the tensioner, the door closed just the way I wanted it. Gone are the days of trying to place a small sliding latch in the right place and hoping it will hold! On top of that, my door now actually locks when closed (the old one always required extra effort on the doorknob to lock it). If you are looking to replace your door closer, get one of these items. . It's worth every penny!
