I was unsure about purchasing this product thinking there might be a problem because I rip open the packaging and the . but thought ok, i can use it like regular irons without extra steps. But I'm so glad I bought this. It definitely makes my hair shinier and easy to style even at lower temperatures which saves my life as my hair has been severely damaged by flat irons for about 6-7 years. So yes, the extra steps of inserting the cartridge are worth it as the serum infusion makes a huge difference.
