I was looking at a sample of quartz gold ore I dug up from an abandoned mine. The first photo is gold, the second photo is iron pyrite (fool's gold). The OK button takes pictures. Tip: Set the microscope to "Camera" (not video), press M (Menu key), set the delay to 5 seconds, this will solve the camera shake problem. There is another menu that appears when the microscope options are set to video. I dug through my Gopro camera mounts and found a mount that attached to the back of the microscope and mounted the microscope on my taller photocopy stand. Now I have a lot more options as you can see in the photo of the two dollar bill and the quarter. After my assembly mod, I also have the option of putting the microscope on a tripod for horizontal shots.
