Installed these on my fishing boat to replace the original speakers that were beginning to squeak. Overall I am very happy with the quality at a very reasonable price. I just hook them up to a newer basic Pioneer stereo and they play clean sound at a moderate volume which is all I need. Like most cheaper speakers, they tend to over-emphasize the mids, which is actually normal in an open environment as they shouldn't go into the bass range given their size. I would have thought they would be much better with a smaller amp but hey look at their cheap price. Installation requires a larger hole than standard 6 1/2 speakers so keep that in mind as you will need a bit of trimming. They look very well installed and I'm really surprised at the sound quality. If you're looking for a great price with decent clarity, I think you'll really like them. The reason for the four stars is that you can't compare them to a hundred dollar set and expect the same sound quality. I will recommend them and maybe buy another set.
