We bought this rug 6 months ago and have worn it in full sun in the Southern California desert ever since. All in all I'm very happy with it and will be buying another one next year. Pros: It's light, easy to move, easy to sweep, easy to wash, really comfortable to walk barefoot, comfortable to sit on, looks good in our environment (see photo). Kids spend a lot more time outside than when we just broke the concrete. Not Very Good: The sun in these areas is incomparable and is quickly destroyed. At this point I can easily tear it apart with a little scraping with my fingers (see video). But for the sake of our family, I'm willing to spend whatever it takes to buy a new one every year. If I can find something else that has the same benefits and is even more durable, great, but until then I'll buy more if needed. in the video) and we got a few more months by putting the first open side down. For now it will probably be this summer before it really falls apart, meaning we should be able to get two summers out of each mat if we use one side per summer.
