Love it! 63Amp Single Wire Alternator with Ignition Protection
This is a self-excited alternator - the engine only needs to rev up a little once for the internal voltage regulator to kick in and start charging. Once charging begins, it will continue until the engine is turned off. Note that a 100-110 amp version of this generator is also available. This set 14.5 volts across the rev range - perfect. Replaced the 4 wire alternator with a Mercruiser 200 V8 Alpha drive.
