Good tool for beginners to crochet

I bought this needle to take to class. For those students who need instant gratification, this is a great crochet scarf tool. Instead of spending days and weeks seeing results, the process takes hours and then they can proudly show off their achievements. The good thing about this big crochet hook is that it can be done quickly. The downsides are that this item is bulky and not particularly warm as each stitch is large as is the hole it creates and the wind can blow through it making you feel cold. For summer wraps, those big, wide-opening stitches can keep you cool, a matter of taste.
