Does exactly what I want!

I'm not sure about some of the negative reviews here. I think some customers just don't understand how these adapters are supposed to work. Anyway, they work great for me. My setup is as follows: I connected a cable TV ethernet plug to slot 1 of one of the modules. From my router (my home network) I connected one of its ethernet jacks to jack 2 on the same module (NOTE: my cable box needs to be on a completely separate LAN, which is just a limitation of the vendor's equipment). The connector on this module connects to an 8-wire connector on my network panel (NOTE: all other connectors on my network panel are 4-wire and this will not work with them). The plug of the second module is connected to the socket in my living room (the other end of the 8-wire cable). wired connection from network panel). Connector 1 of the second module is connected to the Ethernet connector of my cable box. Connector 2 of the second module is connected to the Ethernet port on my Apple TV. You can now connect devices to slots 1 and 2 using 4-wire Ethernet cables or 8-wire Ethernet cables. It will work with any of them. However, if you want to extend the module's connector with an Ethernet cable, it MUST be 8-wire. Socket 2 will be lost if you use a 4-wire cable and an adapter to extend the modular plug. BTW, even though my router ports support gigabit speeds, you need an 8-wire cable for that. Luckily, I just don't need such speeds, and 100MB/s is more than enough for me.
